JOHNSON Gertrude Elizabeth Johnson, 88, a resident of Jacksonville for most of her life went home to be with the Lord on February 1, 2012. She was a member of Otis Road Church of God and served many years as the Church Secretary and Sunday School Teacher. She enjoyed reading and writing, loved her family, her church and her Lord. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband of near 50 years, Everett Johnson in 1986, also her sons, Charles Johnson in 1966, and Clarence Johnson in 1996, her daughter, Margie Rogers in 2002, and her son, Steve Johnson in 2004. Survivors include her sons, Robert Johnson (Rita), Marvin Johnson (Linda), and Randy Johnson (Joann), 13 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, February 6, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Otis Road Church of God with Rev. John Spratlin officiating. Interment will follow in Sellars Cemetery.
