Gertrude-A. Lee, née en 1919, conjointe de Harold-S. Lee, mère de Joy, Gay et Gary, est décédée le 1 février 2007 à l'âge de 88 ans.
LEE-Gertrude A. (nee Kubli) February 1, 2007. After a brief illness, Gertrude A. Lee (nee Kubli) passed away peacefully in her Fort Myers, Florida home at the age of 88. Active until just a short time before her passing, Mrs. Lee had been a volunteer at the Lee Memorial Healthpark Hospital for the past sixteen years, and was a Hospice volunteer at the Hope Chest Thrift Shop for several years as well. Before retiring to Fort Myers in 1980, Gertrude, a native of Buffalo, New York, was the manager/hostess of the Tearoom in the William Hengerer Co, an upscale department store, for over ten years after being an employee of the Service Systems Corporation for several years as well. While living in Buffalo, Gertrude was an active member of the Amherst Chapter #555 Order of the Eastern Star, and served as a Grand Officer. She was the beloved wife of the late Harold S. Lee, dear sister of the late Kenneth Kubli, and is survived by her three children, Joy (the late Albert Homberger III) of Buffalo, Gay (Larry Mroz) of Fort Myers and Gary, also of Buffalo; as well as 5 grandchildren, Jill Wild (John), Stephen Homberger, Todd Homberger (Tracey), Andy Mroz and Amy Wahlig (Mark); and 8 great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service to celebrate Gertrude's life, on Saturday, March 17, 2007 at 10 am at the Bowmansville United Methodist Church, 5344 Genesee Street in Bowmansville, New York, 14206. The family will be present to greet guests at a coffee hour, immediately following the service. Donations can be made in Gertrude's memory to the Hope Hospice of Southwest Florida, 9470 Healthpark Circle, Fort Myers, Florida 33908.
