ANDERSON, Gerald Wayne (Gerry) January 8, 1936 - November 11, 2012 Gerry passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family. Born in Edmonton, Gerry spent 15 years in the Navy and then pursued a systems career in Ottawa (CMHC) and Victoria (BC Systems Corp). In his retirement, he was involved with "Connections" through the Victoria Boys and Girls Club and had a positive impact on many youth. Gerry will be greatly missed by his loving wife Gerda, children Debbie (Kevin), Randy (Debbie), and Tracy (Alan); along with grandchildren Jason & Alana, and Ryan & Erin; and great grandsons Jason and Benjamin. Gerry enjoyed golf, cards, movies, sudokus, performance arts, and spending time with relatives and many dear friends in Ontario, Alberta, and BC. He was known for his quick sense of humour, even through his illnesses in the last few years. Gerry was actively involved in the Lutheran Church and believed in life everlasting. A celebration of his life will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 1273 Fort Street, Victoria on Saturday Nov 24 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Grace Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, or Saanich Peninsula Palliative Care.
