Gerald "Pat" Patterson, 89, Springfield, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2008. He was born October 18, 1918, in Springfield. He retired from Springfield City Utilities. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Gladys; one granddaughter, Velinda; his parents; three brothers; and one sister. He is survived by one son, Dearld of Springfield; two daughters, Patricial Cavener of Crane and Sue Ann Rhondes of Topeka, Kan.; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Open visitation will be in Greenlawn Funeral Home North on June 13, 2008, after 5 p.m. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 13, 2008, in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Children's Miracle Network.
