Gaudin, Dr. Gerald Louis A retired doctor, he died at 8:50 p.m. Monday, April 25, 2005, at Ollie Steele Burden Manor. He was 92, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Convent. Visiting at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church, Gonzales, on Thursday, April 28, from 10 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Gary Belsome. Entombment in Hope Haven Mausoleum, Gonzales. Survivors include his niece, Elaine C. Allee of St. James; nephew, Dr. Joseph Reynolds and wife Jan of Bastrop; great-niece and godchild, Elizabeth Johnson; 11 other great-nieces and great-nephews; devoted nurse and special friend of 37 years, Elizabeth Hamilton; and devoted friend, Mrs. Lee Ester Barrow. Special thanks to all the staff at Ollie Steele Burden Manor Nursing Home and Dr. R. Narra. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Louis A. and Louise Gaudin; and sisters, Melba G. Claire, Glaydy G. Reynolds and Stella G. Daugherty. Dr. Gaudin began practicing in 1939 in Gonzales and retired in June 1981. He attended Jefferson College in Convent, LSU Medical Center at New Orleans, Loyola University pre-med and two years residency at Los Angeles County General.
