Gerald Chartrand décembre 28, 1945 - août 10, 2014 CHARTRAND, Gerry 1945 - 2014 It is with great sadness that we announce that Gerry passed away as he lived, with peace and dignity on August 10, 2014. He is survived by his adoring partner in life, Brenda. Former wife and mother of their two children, Diane (Pyves). Devoted father to Melanie (Shawn) and Jason (Lisa); cherished "Papa" to Melissa (Marc), Jodi, Austin, Amanda, Cameron and great-grandson Chase. Gerry will be remembered for his kind and generous heart, for his vitality, keen intellect, phenomenal memory, fun-loving sense of humour with an exceptional, indomitable spirit, along with his lifelong passion for the Blues (music). Gerry was an exceptional, brilliant, well-respected Vintage Hockey Card vendor who shared his knowledge and expertise with many of his business relationships. He considered it important to make a personal connection with each and every person that he met. He was also a devoted advocate of animal welfare. Gerry was a true gentleman, whose kindness extended way beyond his family members. He will be sadly missed and never forgotten by his numerous friends, business associates, neighbours and extensive family. A Funeral Mass, in the presence of his ashes, will take place on Saturday, August 16. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. followed by the Service at 1:00 p.m. Please join us to celebrate Gerry's life with refreshments and light lunch served in the reception area.
