Georgie Henrietta Richard, 63, a native of Thibodaux and resident of Houma, died at 11:15 p.m. Sunday, July 3, 2005.Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Liturgy of the Word will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.She is survived by her mother, Dolly Walsh Richard of Houma; one brother, Dave Richards and wife, Carol, of Houston; two nephews, Jeffery D. Richard and Randy Richards; two nieces, Katie Kozak and Laura Cauley; one great-nephew, Jacob Cauley; one sister-in-law, Nancy Kozak; and one brother-in-law, Mike Kozak.She was preceded in death by her father, Claude I. Richard; and one brother, Claude "Danny" Richard.She was a retired teacher with the U.S. Department of Defense Dependents School System and was a member of the Krewe of Aphrodite, AARP and loved books, movies and teaching.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, Local Library or School Library of ones choice.Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
