Georgia Williams, conjointe de Lee-C. -Williams Sr, fille de Rufus et Mae, mère de Lee C, est décédée à l'âge de 89 ans. Veuillez consulter son avis de décès ici:
Georgia Williams (nee Hyatt) passed from this life on Wednesday, February 19, peacefully at home. She was 89 years old. Georgia was born to the late Rufus and Mae (Rodgers) Hyatt of Waynesville, NC. Georgia was born in North Carolina and spent her childhood there, but during one of her visits to see her sister in New Jersey, she met her future husband, Lee C. Williams Sr. After their marriage, they moved to the Williams Family Farm on Daretown-Alloway Road where she lived the rest of her life. In her early years of their 68 year marriage, she and Lee grew various crops on their farm which included tomatoes that were delivered to the Campbell Soup Factory, hay for the dairy cows on the farm, and corn. She had an absolute love for dairy farming, especially Jersey dairy cattle, and was active in milking her cows until the age of 85. She was also involved and supported her three sons in 4-H and FFA, where she would host students for Jersey cattle judging events. She was a lifelong member of the Inter-State Milk Producers Cooperative and in 2005, received a 50 year membership award from Land O'Lakes, Inc. In addition to her love for dairy cows, Georgia delighted in cooking and preparing meals for her family. She was especially talented in her Southern style dishes, such as chicken and biscuits, homemade milk gravy, Southern canned green beans, banana and rice pudding. As lunch time was the main meal of the day, it was known by all that Mommom would have "dinner" on the table. For example, Emma and Allen could routinely be seen riding their four wheeler up to the farm across the adjoining field wearing their white helmets. For years, Sunday dinner at her house was the highlight of her week. Her family would eat supper and the kids would either go outside to play and visit the barn or play in the basement. Accordingly, she delighted in seeing and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. With her grandchildren, she would enjoy root beer floats and peanut butter/banana cracker sandwiches and with her great grandchildren, Jimmy and Josephine, she would enjoy giving them her special sugar kiss. Georgia enjoyed the outdoors and could many days be found sitting on her back porch with her husband just watching what was going on in the farm yard. She loved her flowers, many of which were Southern native species, and also enjoyed birds, especially cardinals. She and her husband liked driving around the countryside just checking on the fields. She was the beloved wife of the late Lee C. Sr who passed in January 2013 and is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Lee C. Jr., Steven and Kathy Williams, and Allen Williams and Nola Connell; her grandchildren, Christina (James) Catalano II, Jeff (Julie) Williams, Emma Lee Williams, and Allen Williams, Jr.; her great-grandchildren, Josephine Sarah Catalano and James Catalano III; and her step great-grandchildren, Jack, Caroline, and Ben Russell. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her daughters-in-law, Sara Williams in 2013 and Diane Williams in 1993. Services will be held at 12 Noon Tuesday, February 25th in the Pittsgrove Presbyterian Church, 312 Daretown Rd., Daretown, where friends are invited to visit from 10 AM until the time of service. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pittsgrove Presbyterian Church, 312 Daretown Rd., Elmer, NJ 08318.
