Georgia Mae Black July 21, 2010 Georgia Mae Black, 77, of Syracuse, departed this life Wednesday at University Hospital. She was a member of Hopps Memorial C.M.E. Church and a charter member of Elohim Chapter #38 Order of the Eastern Star. She was formerly employed at General Electric for 20 years and General Motors for 15 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Black, and her sister, Katie Sanders. She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Eugene Walter Black and Michael Black of Syracuse; three grandchildren, Andrea Mock, Mae Frances Johnson and Stephanie Harris; two great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Calling hours will be 10 a.m. to noon Monday at Hopps Memorial C.M.E. Church, 1110 S. State St., with funeral services to follow at noon. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Garland Bros.
