Georgia Faye "Jody" Williams, 68, of Barton, died Friday, Sept. 28, 2012. The family will receive friends for visitation 6-9 p.m. today at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. James Strange and the Rev. Hollis Lacey officiating. Internment will follow in Barton Cemetery.Mrs. Williams was a native of Barton and a longtime member of Iuka Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Williams.Survivors include sons, Phillip Williams and Susie, Franklin Williams and Kasey, and Christopher Williams and Jessica; daughters, Pamela Williams and Sherman Wilson, and Debra Oliver; brother, Gerald Pounders and Janet; sisters, Patsy Bevis and Owen, and Joyce Sullivan and William; 15 grandchildren and step-grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.The family gratefully recognizes the caregivers of Shoals Hospital for their help and support.
