Georgette Miron ( Raymond), of Kapusaksing Date of Death: September 15th, 2006 The funeral service for former Lac-Ste-Thérèse resident Georgette (née Raymond) Miron of Extendicare Kapuskasing was held Sept. 15, 2006. She died Sept. 8 – her 84th birthday – following a lengthy illness. Born Sept. 8, 1922 in St-Sébastien, Que., she came to the area as a young bride. She relocated to Kapuskasing 13 years ago. She enjoyed flower gardening, listening to music, playing cards, and doing puzzles. Predeceased by husband Hermas Miron in 1973, she leaves daughters Jacqueline (Rémi) Grandmont of Gatineau, Que., and Huguette (Adélard) Breton of Kapuskasing, and sons Pierre of Hearst, Réal (Ann) of Gatineau, Jacques (Helen) of St. Catharines, Ont., and Guy (Georgette) Miron of Hearst. Also surviving are a half-brother Roger Constantineau of Kapuskasing, as well as 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and a great great granddaughter. Cremation in Matheson preceded the service directed by Rev. René Grandmont at Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption Cathedral. Interment followed at Monsignor Pierre Grenier Cemetery. Commemorative donations may be made to Extendicare Kapuskasing.
