Georgette P. Jordan SIMPSONVILLE, S.C. - Georgette P. Jordan, 87, died Sunday, July 20, 2014, at the Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, S.C. after a period of failing health. Georgette was born in Van Buren, Maine on May 27, 1927, the daughter of Albenie and Yvonne (Thibodeau) Labbe and had most recently moved to Simpsonville, S.C. to live with her daughter Carolyn but had previously lived in the Rochester area since 1947. Prior to her retirement she worked at General Electric in Somersworth, and was the widow of Norman Jordan who died in 1986. She was a member of the St. Ann Sodality at our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Rochester, and was a hairdresser for 27 years, operating her own salon in Gonic. Georgette was predeceased by three brothers, Patrick, Donald and Harold, by two sisters, Lorraine Plourde and Corinne Lackey and by a great-granddaughter, Hannah. Surviving members of the family include, two daughters, Carolyn Throneberry and her husband James of Simpsonville, S.C. and Janice Croisetiere and her husband Louis of Rochester, one son Dennis Jordan and his partner Carl Mueller of Farmington, two brothers, Gerald Labbe of Bristol, Conn. and Richard Labbe of Ocala, Fla., two sisters, Theresa Blackburn of Livingston, Texas and Joan Parker of Phoenix, Ariz., seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Calling hours will be held at the H. J. Grondin & Son Funeral Home, 177 North Main Street, Rochester, N.H. on Saturday, July 26, 2014, from 8 to 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, following the calling hours, at St. Leo's Church, Main Street, Gonic, N.H. with burial at a later date in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Laconia, N.H.
