George Willis Lee ORLANDO, FL - George Willis Lee, 66, of Orlando, FL, passed away peacefully on Wed., July 13, 2011, at Dr. P. Phillips Hospital in Orlando. Born and reared in Orlando, FL, George was a 1963 graduate of Jones High School. He entered the U.S. Navy immediately after graduation and served on the U.S.S. Carter Hall. On being honorably discharged, he attended Johnson Junior College in Leesburg, FL. George moved to Trenton, NJ, in 1966, where he worked at Heidemann Electric. George was an avid gardener and fisherman. In addition, he wrote poetry and had a talent for drawing. George moved to Stroudsburg, PA, and worked for the Monroe County Jail as a detention sheriff officer. On returning to Orlando, George was employed by the State of Florida, Orlando Regional Juvenile Detention Center, as a senior juvenile detention officer. He retired in 2006, from ORJDC, after 10 years of service. Son of the late Malinda Phillips Lee Davis and Sherman B. Lee, George is survived by one son, Fakaradeen Lee; two daughters, Susan Videro and Aisha Lee; an aunt, Cynthia M. Williams; his sister, Cledyth "Clete" Davis; cousins Joseph Phillips (Vernita), Yvonne Phillips Rice, Althea Vaile, Marion Gaulmon, Theresa Stewart, Lynn Williams (Sheila), Carey Williams (Janet); six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and special friends James O. Mungro, Barbara Rivera and Harold Stephens. Al-Janaa'iz was held at the Islamic Center of Orlando on July 14, 2011. Interment is in Orlando Memorial Gardens. Late By George W.
