George Walden BRISTOL - George Walden, 92, who retired from the Florida Division of Forestry in 1976, died Wednesday, October 10, 2007, at his home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. EDT Saturday, October 13, at Bristol Church of God, with Reverend Terry Blackburn officiating. Interment will follow at Mitchem Cemetery.Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. EDT Friday, October 12, 2007, at Adams Funeral Home (850-643-5410 or adamsfh.com). He was a native and a lifelong resident of Bristol, and was a charter member of the Bristol Church of God. He was a veteran. Mr. Walden is survived by his wife, Willa Walden of Bristol; a son, Newton Walden of Bristol; three stepsons; three daughters, Myrtle Richards (and husband Gary), Betty Brantley and Glinda Morrison (and husband Frank), all of Bristol; two stepdaughters; a sister, Doris Guess of Gulf Breeze; two brothers, Robert Walden and Clyde Gainey, both of Bristol; five grandchildren; 13 stepgrandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
