George R. Jackson Devoted family man PITTSFORD - George R. Jackson, age 83, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2009, at Highland Hospital in Rochester. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Elizabeth (Godfrey) Jackson; four children, Nancy J. Cooper of Marietta, Ga., Carlton L. (Deborah) Jackson of Farmington, George R. (Suzanne) Jackson Jr. of Littleton, Colo. and Charles P. (Pamela) Jackson of Farmington; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Jackson moved to Pittsford from Gardner, Mass. in 2005. He attended First Congregational Church in Canandaigua. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at First Congregational Church, 58 N. Main St., Canandaigua. Interment will be in Crystal Lake Cemetery in Gardner. Memorial contributions may be made to Southeast YMCA, Invest in Youth Campaign, 111 E. Jefferson Road, Pittsford, NY 14534. Arrangements are by Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home Inc., Canandaigua.
