PETERSON, George LeonardOn March 21, 2017, George Leonard Peterson of Westlock, Alberta passed away just days short of turning 97.He is survived by his children Wayne (Lucille) of Westlock, Sandra (Ed) Bobocel of Lac La Biche, Linda (Jean-Pierre) Bienvenue of Fort McMurray, Leonard (Darlene) of Westlock, Don (Stella) of Westlock, Ervin (Janice) of Westlock, Marlene (Robert) Bondar of Lac La Biche, Mavis (Glen) Zilke of Yorkton, Saskatchewan, Norman (Norah) of Slave Lake, Anita (Gary) Mohs of Courtney, BC and Bonnie (Allie) Smith of Stony Plain, and one sister, Dorothy Hickey, as well as 32 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, as well as other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Maureen in 2002. There will be a viewing at the Westlock Funeral Home (10004 – 105 Street) on Friday, March 31, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The Memorial Service will be at the Westlock Memorial Hall (99 Ave. and 106 Street) at 2:00 p.m. on March 31, 2017 with Mr. Allen Smith as speaker.
