Graysville - George Michael Dudchock Sr., 84, of Graysville, Alabama, passed away on Monday, May 7, 2012, after a brief illness. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Minor High Graduate, served in U.S. Navy during the Korean War and retired from U.S. Steel. He is survived by his five children, Donald Richard (Linda), Beth Tucker (Bubba), Trudy Lively (Ray), George Michael Jr. (Pam), and Alex (Natalie); his grandchildren, Donna Rizzo (Joey), Cristi Wilson (Greg), and Ryan Dudchock, Kim Thomas, Missy McCaleb, and Matt Tucker, Josh Lively (Amanda), Stephanie White (Mark), Chris, Jason, and Steven Dudchock and Davis, Blake, and Russell Dudchock; his six great-grandchildren, Nathan, Jarred, and Lauren Rizzo, Jeremy White, and Jordan and Brent McCaleb; nieces, Mary Holt, Francis Brown, and Donna Dudchock, and nephews, Chris Sorenson, Bobby Butler, and Louis Dudchock. PopPaw valued education and he was very proud of his grandchildren and the diversity of their colleges; Athens State, Birmingham Southern, The European University in St. Petersburg Russia, Jacksonville State, Auburn, Utah, Texas, UAB, Stanford, and Samford. He was born on March 12, 1928 to Kiser and Mary Dudchock, immigrants from Galicja, Austria that settled in Brookside, Alabama. He is predeceased by his wife, Betty Louise Dudchock. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 13, 2012, from 5-7 p.m. with Rosary starting at 6:30 p.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Adamsville. A Mass will be held Monday, May 14, 2012, at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Gardens, Adamsville.
