He was a resident of Jefferson County, WWII Army Veteran, member of Morning Star Baptist Church Sherman Heights, retired from U.S. Steel after 30 years of service, served as Embalmer and Funeral Director for several Funeral Homes in Birmingham area. Memorial Service will be Saturday at 12 Noon at Westside Funeral Chapel Fairfield, Pastor Harry Jones will officiate, with interment on Monday at 11:00 A.M. Alabama National Cemetery Montevallo. His Loving Survivors are: Two Devoted Daughters; Bernice (Melvin) Woodard and Marye George Williams, 11 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.
