George Jackson 1940 - 2011 WILBRAHAM - George Jackson, 71, longtime resident of Wilbr-aham, died suddenly while on vacation in Italy. Loving son of the late George and Maralyn(Dempsey) Jackson, Sr., he was a graduate of Western New England College and a civilian worker for the Army at Watervliet Arsenal in New York and Natick Laboratories. He retired from civilian services as cost analyst for the Air Force at Westover Air Base in Chicopee. George was an avid hockey fan and enjoyed games and heated discussions of the outcomes. He was a communicant of St. Cecilia's Church and loved to travel and tell stories of his adventures. He died doing what he loved most; seeing new travels. He leaves his beloved wife Kathy Jackson, of Wilbraham, two sons; William Jackson and his wife Kathy and Michael Jackson and his wife Suzanne and four loving grandchildren; Ian, Abigail, Russell and Cora. Calling hours will be Monday from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at the Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Road, Wilbraham. Funeral Tuesday at 9:00 am from the Funeral Home followed by a Mass at 10:00 am at St. Cecilia's Church, 42 Main Street, Wilbraham. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Springfield.
