George Durr Sr. March 1, 1952 - October 16, 2012 Taftville - George D. Durr, Sr., 60, of 91 S.Second St., Taftville, died Tuesday at Backus Hospital. Born in Norwich on March 1, 1952, he was the son of the late George and Edith (Pulsifer) Durr. Prior to his retirement he was employed as a mason for the former F.W. Brown Co. Surviving is his daughter Heather L. Durr of Taftville, his son George D. Durr, Jr. of Norwich; three grandsons, Levon and Sincere Fletcher and George D. Durr, III. Three brothers, Cornelius, Arthur and Paul, and two sisters, Dorothy and Josephine, and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will take place on Tuesday at 1 P.M. at Maplewood Cemetery, Salem Tpke., Norwich, meeting at the cemetery. There are no calling hours.
