George Edwin Davis, 62, of 177 Old Pelzer Road, died May 29, 2003, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.A native of Spartanburg County, son of the late John A. and Allie Harrison Davis. He was a self-employed builder contractor.Surviving are his wife, Andrea Thomason Davis, of the home; three sons, Bryan Scott Davis, of Greenville, Tommy Dale Davis, of Woodruff, and John Howard Davis, of Greenville; one daughter, Kezia Lucinda Davis, of Belton; three sisters, Ruth Snow, of Reidville, Mildred Hughes, of Lyman, and Sara D. Cowles, of Columbia; and two grandchildren.Mr. Davis was predeceased by three brothers, Kenneth Davis, Morris Davis and James Davis.Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by the Rev. Ron Riddley. Burial will follow at Wood's Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery.Visitation will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday at The Wood Mortuary.The family is at the home.
