TOWER George Burton Tower Sr, 90, of Orange Park, FL died peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 29, 2012. George was born January 13, 1922, in Boston, Massachusetts. George was a WWII veteran, proudly serving in the Navy from 1942-1946. George worked at Draper Corporation as a snagger for 38 years. After retirement, he and his wife Annie moved to Jacksonville, Florida from Hopedale, MA. George and Annie enjoyed camping, cruising, square dancing and the Boston Red Sox. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Annie (Hamperian) and three children: George B. Tower Jr (Suzanne), Orange Park, FL; Nancy A. Quesenberry (David), Green Valley, AZ; John D. Tower (Jean), Hopkinton NH; a sister Dorothy Marchand, Summerfield, FL; two brothers: Myron Tower, Hopedale, MA; Wallace Tower, Cadalic, MI and three grandchildren: Jason Quesenberry, Sara Tower and Emily Tower. There will be a private interment at Jacksonville National Cemetery, Jacksonville, FL with Military Honors on Friday, September 14, 2012. The public is invited to the Memorial Service on Saturday, September 15th at the First United Methodist Church on Walnut Street in Green Cove Springs at 11am.
