Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. at the church.Mrs. Williams, who died Monday, July 5, 2010, in Hillsboro, was born December 6, 1928, in Lawrence County to Herbert and Ollie Mote Terry. She was a member of Oak Grove FCM Church. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening and cooking, she was known for peanut brittle, working for Jesus, songwriting and singing. Her husband, Dempsey Williams, and her sister, Genice Williams, preceded her in death.Survivors include one son, Danny L. Williams of Trinity; two daughters, Martha S. Farmer and Peggy McCleskey, both of Hillsboro; two brothers, Dorlin Terry and Dual Terry; seven grandchildren, Ricky Williams, Ashley Williams, Kayla Williams, Leighann Turner, Traci Butler, Stacy Hurst and Cindy Thrasher; eight great-grandchildren, and many friends in the community.Pallbearers will be Ricky Layton, Ray Warren, Gayle Gilbert, Dallas Letson, Roger Peters and Floyd Morgan.
