Mr. Gary G. Hamilton, 70, died on Saturday, May 7, 2011, at Tidwell Hospice House, Port Charlotte, Fla. Gary was born on May 6, 1941, to George and Harriet Hamilton in Sioux Falls, S.D. He attended Whitter Grade School and Washington High. Mr. Hamilton moved to New Jersey in 1959. He met and married Elaine Boelhower of Edison, N.J., in 1972. Gary worked for Boston Shoes until 1973 and became owner of Anthony's November in Menlo Park, N.J., and Seaview Square in Neptune, N.J., and also the Cheese Villa in Brunswick Square. Mr. Hamilton moved with family to Marietta, Ga., in 1986. He opened a Subway in 1987 and sold it in 1988. Mr. Hamilton went into the sign business in 1988. He retired and moved to Florida in 2000. Gary was predeceased by his wife, Elaine, in 1997. He is survived by three children: a daughter, Susan Rosenblum, and two step-sons, Bob and Ray Petersen; one sister, Margret, and a brother, Don.
