HAMILTON, GARRY THOMAS "HAM," 61, of Louisville, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2009 at his home surrounded by his family. He was a retired inspector for the Ford Motor Company, Kentucky Truck Plant. He was member of Highview Baptist Church and was a softball umpire. Garry was also a 1967 graduate of Fern Creek High School. He was preceded in death by his parents, Isham and Lucille Hamilton. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Martena Cox Hamilton; a son, Shawn Hamilton (Shelley); a daughter, Heather Shay Hamilton; sisters, Charlotte Fahey (Jeff) and Ruth Hall (Don); a brother, Denny Hamilton; his extended family, Frances Grider (Ralph), Beverly Bomar (Tim), Dixie Briney (Terry), Dwain Dillingham (Gerri); and many nieces and nephews that loved him dearly. His funeral service will be held noon Thursday, July 16, 2009 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation is Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hosparus of Louisville.
