SMITH, Gail (nee Thorburn). Passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 31, 2008 at the Lakeshore General Hospital, Pointe Claire, Que., after a lengthy illness, in her sixty-first year. Beloved mother to Michael (Sylvia) of Rigaud, QC. and Christopher (Anita) of Calgary, AB. Dearest grandmother to Zoe and Zachary. Loving sister to Brent, Catherine, Eric, James, Diane, Rick and Bernie. Gail was raised primarily in the Lachute region, and spent many years caring for others as a dedicated nurse's aid. After many years battling health problems, she is now at peace. Resting at the J.P. MacKimmie Funeral Home, 660 rue Principale, Lachute, QC. Funeral service Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at 11 a.m. Visitation Tuesday, June 3, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.
