Gail Lynn Clark, 61, of Lynn Haven, Fla., passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010, after a courageous battle with Leukemia. Gail was born on Dec. 19, 1948, in Doylestown, Penn., and grew up in Warwick, N.Y. She was a graduate of Appalachian State University and received her master's degree in education from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. She had spent the past 20 years as an educator in Bay County at Mowat Middle School and Bay High School. She was a passionate teacher who cherished each day working to inspire and enrich the lives of her students. She was a member of St. Dominic's Catholic Church in Panama City.Gail was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon L. and Enis M. Boose. She is survived by her beloved husband of 37 years, Colonel Marvin O. Clark (retired); daughter, Marla Gail Denecke and husband, Clay, of Lynn Haven; twin daughters, Julie Ann Lawson and husband, Ryan, and Shelly Lynn Bell and husband, Ricky, of Tallahassee; and son, Travis Ryan Clark and his fiancée, Haley Tucker, of Thomasville, Ga."Mimithefighter" will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Morgan, Chase and Clark Hutchinson, Cade Denecke, Riley, Parker and Taylor Bell, Thomas Quinn, Cole Lawson and Dawson Tucker.Gail also is survived by her mother-in-law, Jane Clark of Alma, Kan.; and her siblings including her identical twin sister, Karyn Lee Spreeman and husband, Karle, Candy and husband, Jim Stein, Robert Boose and wife, Wendy, Lucy Bangham and husband, Richard, Gordon D. Boose, Dolores Friel and a very loving and extended family.Gail's greatest joy in life was her family and she cherished spending time with her husband, children and grandkids. She loved the game of golf, bunko with the girls, playing bridge and the annual family vacation to Mexico Beach. She enjoyed her visits to her mountain home in western North Carolina and traveling the world with her husband. She was a beloved wife, daughter, mother, sister, grandmother and friend.A funeral Mass will begin at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, at St. Dominic Catholic Church with Fr. Kevin McQuone officiating. Interment will follow at Lynn Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010, at the funeral home.
