Williams, Gail L.Aug. 29, 1920 - Aug. 25, 2011Gail L. Williams, beloved mother, entered into rest on Aug. 25, 2011. Mrs. Williams was born in Kearny, N.J., and moved to Sarasota in 1967 from Manasquan, N.J. She was a graduate of the Coleman Business College in New Jersey. She was a member of Pine Shores Presbyterian Church and the Bird Key Yacht Club, and a volunteer for St. Wilfred's Episcopal Church. She was a licensed private plane pilot. Mrs. Williams is survived by her daughter, Gayle W. (Daniel) Elliott of Aiken, S.C.; sisters Dorothy, Gloria and Beatrice, all of California; and two grandchildren, Chad and Nathan Elliott, both of Aiken. Services took place Aug. 27 at Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Gulf Gate Chapel. Friends may make contributions in her memory to the YMCA Foundation of Sarasota, 1 South School Ave., Sarasota, FL 34237; or to the First Baptist Church of Manasquan, 47 South St., Manasquan, NJ 08736.
