Gabrielle Patricia Brock, 83, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2010. A Mass of Christian Burial and a celebration of her life will be offered on Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Piscataway, N.J. Interment is at Holy Name Cemetery in Jersey City, N.J. The family will receive friends on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave., Dunellen. Gabrielle was born on Oct. 7, 1926, in Jersey City to John and Bridget Brock. Upon graduating from high school, at age 16, she was employed by the RCA Corporation at the Harborside Building in Jersey City. A longtime resident of Ridgefield Park, N.J., Gabrielle and her mother moved to Piscataway, where she made her home for the past 40 years. Gabrielle was predeceased by her sister, Beatrice, and her brothers and their spouses, John and Mildred, Peter and Lucille, Joseph and Helen, and George and Jean. She is survived by seven nephews and their spouses, Jack and Denise, Peter and Linda, Thomas and Susan, Steven and Leanne, Christopher and Deborah, Joseph and Maureen, and Paul; six nieces, Virginia, Judith, Gabrielle, Elyne, Yvonne and her husband, John, and Barbara and her husband, Jeff; over 40 great- and great-great-nieces and nephews, as well as her dear friend, Grace Hodge, and many friends and neighbors.
