Gladys Louise Neal Smith, 92, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2002 at Taylor Care Center in Valhalla, NY. She was a longtime resident of Salem, NJ and faithfully attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church until she moved to live with her daughter in Elmsford. Gladys was married to the late Cary Smith, Sr. on June 15, 1926. She is survived by daughters, Emma Wyatt of Chandler, AZ, Missouri S. Leach of Elmsford, NY and sons, Cary Smith, Jr. of New Rochelle, NY and Dr. Marvin Smith of Fairfax Station, VA. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 16, 2002, from 3-5 PM at First Baptist Church, 145 North Lawn Avenue in Elmsford. Funeral Services will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations, in memory of Gladys Smith be sent to the Alzhemier's Association, 785 Mamaroneck Ave., White Plains, NY.
