JACKSON, GEORGE P., 73, died Thursday, December 1, 2005 after a courageous battle with cancer. His wife of 18 years was at his side. George was born on February 6, 1932 to Joe and Helen Jackson in Chicago, Illinois. George, an avid photographer, served in the Air Force for 17 years, then went on to retire from the Orange County Fire Department in 1995. George was preceded in death by first wife, Hazel Nadine Jackson; parents, Joe and Helen Jackson; and sisters, Marcie, Charlene, and Mary Lou. Mourning his passing are wife, Betty C. Jackson; children, Celia Leffler, Anita Mercer, Terry Lee Jackson, Melody Blersch (Tom); and stepchildren, Mary Alarcon (Joseph) and Jason Butt, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers, Dell (Sammie), Jackie (Marlene), Doug (Margaret) and Paul (Judy). George will also be greatly missed by constant companions, Clancy, Holly Kat, Madison, Sassy, and Bo- Bo. A private memorial service will be determined at a later date.
