HENDERSON, G. Michael CD Major RCA Peacefully, at the Ottawa Civic Hospital, on Saturday, June 7, 2014, in his 95th year. Predeceased by Molly (nee Snow) his affectionate wife of 59 years. Survived by his nieces and cousins and their families: Barbara Henderson (Peter); Elizabeth Odegard (Mark); Ann Snow (& Anneliese); Campbell Osler (Joanne); Jennifer Williams (Brian.) He was educated UCC, 1 year at Queens University, then to the Artillery. He served with the 11th Army Field Regiment in Italy, and later in N.W. Europe with 664 Air OP Squadron. His service continued in the Permanent Forces following the war. He was the vice president of the Ottawa Humane Society, on the founding committee Air OP Pilot's association, founder of Celiac Association, Ottawa and President of the Canadian Celiac Association. A Memorial Gathering will take place at the Pearl of India Restaurant, 2181 St. Joseph Blvd, Orleans on Friday, June 20th from 1 to 3 pm. In Memoriam donations to Ottawa Humane Society and Canadian Celiac Association would be appreciated. "And Every Minute was Fun!
