Fredrick Lee Hensley, 76, Springfield, was born May 4, 1933, and passed away October 17, 2009, in Springfield. Fredrick graduated high school in Des Moines, Iowa, in June of 1951. He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War, was a Union Sheetmetal Worker, and was a Greene County employee. Frederick was an amateur boxer and enjoyed hunting, car collecting, and gun and knife collecting. He was preceded in death by his parents, Acie and Ruth (Clouse) Hensley; brothers, Willis, Donald and Charles Hensley; infant brother, William; sisters, Valdina Faucett and Lois Gaskill; infant son, Fredrick L. Hensley Jr.; and special friend, Mary Hale. He is survived by daughters, Rhonda Boren, Cynde (Brad) Boas, and Sherrie (John) Waddell; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Jerry (Wanda), Larry (Irene) and Leonard Hensley; sisters, Bessie Miller and Wilma Lair; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Graveside services will be held in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, at 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2009. Memorial donations may be made to Christian Health Care West, Springfield.
