Frederick J. Casey, 77, died Jan. 6, 2011, at his home. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and lived in Port St. Lucie for eight years, coming from Fort Lauderdale. He served in the Navy. Before retirement, he was a New York City police detective. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Port St. Lucie, and the 10-13 Club (for retired NYPD officers.) Survivors include his wife, Betty Ann Casey of Port St. Lucie; son, Michael Casey of West Palm Beach; daughters, Donna Marie Froehle of Port St. Lucie and Eileen Priest of Louisville, Ky.; sister, Patricia Wilson of Long Island, N.Y.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services: Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Jan. 9 at Aycock Funeral Home, Port St. Lucie.
