Frederick Eugene "Fred" Harding BOILING SPRINGS, SC-- July 15, 1935-October 23, 2009, Fred E. Harding, 74, of 401 Wedgewood Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 23, 2009, at White Oak Manor in Spartanburg. A native of Richmond, VA, he is the husband of Jeanette Martin Harding and the son of the late Joseph Walker and Grace Moses Harding. He was a member of Restoration Church, a 32nd Scottish Rite Mason, a member and a Past Master of Irving Southworth Lodge #350, Past Worthy Patron of Lyman Chapter #299, OES and a Shriner, retired from McLean Trucking Co. and former owner of Fred's Bait and Tackle Shop in Lyman. He is survived by two daughters, Debbie Beech (Darrell) and Sherry Collins (Wes) of Boiling Springs; one son, Todd Harding (Donette) of Roebuck; and nine grandchildren, Andrea and Adam Beech (Sara), Spencer and Meredith Collins, Drew and Alayna Harding, Christopher, Jake and Claudia Casey; and a brother-in-law, Joe Martin (Jewell) of Amelia, VA. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Monday, October 26, 2009, at Eggers Funeral Home in Boiling Springs. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 27, 2009, at Eggers Funeral Chapel with Rev. Stephen Burns officiating. Interment will follow in Boiling Springs Memorial Garden with Masonic Rights. Pallbearers: Adam Beech, Spencer Collins, Drew Harding, Christopher and Jake Casey, Timothy Adams, Steve Bradley, Ronnie Mills, and Steven Elliott. Honorary Pallbearers: Retiree's Breakfast Club and the Former McLean Softball Team and employees.
