He was born July 19, 1934 in Okay, Oklahoma, the son of the late John and Leda (Wilson) Carter. He was united in marriage on October 9, 1952 to Minnie L. Hedge. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Darlene Woodrol. Frankie retired from Granite Construction Company in California in 1993. He was a member of Teamsters Local 94 in California for over 38 years. He had a passion for classic cars and enjoyed restoring cars and attending car shows. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Minnie; three daughters, Glenda Estes, Ozark; Kathy Lee and husband David; and Pamela Barker, all of Springfield; a son, Rodney Carter and wife Joy, Seymour; two sisters, Carolyn Parker and husband Dennis, and Kay Warner and husband Pat, all of Visalia, CA; a brother, John Carter and wife Konda, Exeter, CA; six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 8, 2013 in Hopedale Cemetery, Ozark under the care of J.D. Lee and Sons Funeral Home, Rogersville. Visitation will be held from 6 - 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 7, 2013 in the funeral home. Online condolences and guest book signing may be made at www.jdleeandsons.com.
