HOLDEN -- Frank W. Morrison, 86, of 55 Steele St., Holden, formerly of the Whalom District, Lunenburg, died Monday, Nov. 24, in his home, after an illness. He was born on Feb. 11, 1917, in Natick, the son of Frank and Nellie (McDonald) Morrison, and moved to Holden in 1975. Mr. Morrison was a machinist at the former General Electric Co. plant in Fitchburg for 30 years, retiring in 1981. He was a member of St. Bernard’s Parish in Fitchburg. Mr. Morrison leaves his second wife of 28 years, Lahja (Pentonen) Morrison of Holden; one son, Francis D. Morrison of Fitchburg; one daughter, Donna F. Morrison of Wilbraham; and four grandchildren, Frances and Samuel Morrison and Scott and Andrew Lyons. His first wife of 30 years, Gertrude E. (Johnson) Morrison, died in 1970. He was predeceased by a brother, Donald Morrison, who was killed in World War II. MORRISON -- On Nov. 24, Frank W. Morrison, 86, of Holden. The funeral will be held Friday, Nov. 28, from the Smith-Mallahy-Masciarelli Funeral Home, (www.masciarellifamilyfuneralhomes.net) 243 Water St., Fitchburg, with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Bernard’s Church, 240 Water St., Fitchburg. Burial will be in St. Bernard’s Cemetery, Fitchburg. Calling hours in the funeral home are on Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
