Frank Owens CHATTAHOOCHEE - Frank Owens, 71, died Monday, Aug. 19, 2002. The service will be at 11 a.m. EDT Saturday at Greater Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Chattahoochee, with burial at UBA Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. EDT Friday at the church. Madry Memorial Funeral Chapel in Quincy (875-2665) is handling arrangements.A native of DeFuniak Springs, he had lived in Chattahoochee for more than 40 years. He was a member of Greater Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a deacon. He was a retired laborer for the Army Corps of Engineers. He is survived by his wife, Betty McMillian Owens of Chattahoochee; four daughters, Annette Owens of Bristol, Mary Ann Owens of Chattahoochee, Bessie Owens of Chattahoochee and Catherine Owens of Bristol; two stepdaughters, Daphne Green of Tallahassee and Blondie Brown of Jacksonville; three sons, Frank Owens Jr., Kenneth Owens and John Paul Owens of Chattahoochee; two stepsons, Marcus Green of Gainesville and Terryal Huggins of Gretna; the mother of his children, Zola Owens of Chattahoochee; five brothers, Lloyd Owens of Gretna, Roosevelt Owens of Orlando, Bradley Palmer of Tallahassee, J.D. Owens of Blountstown and J.P. Owens of Bristol; three sisters, Mary Wester of Jacksonville, Rosa Robinson of Greensboro and Patricia Baker of Quincy; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
