Frank Owen Morris, 86, passed away on Sept. 23, 2011, at Sherman Hospice in Phoenix, Ariz. Services will be held at Memorial Funeral Home, 155 South Ave., Fanwood, N.J., on Friday, Sept. 30, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains, N.J. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Frank grew up in Ridgefield Park, N.J. and lived in Hasbrouck Heights, N.J.; Dover, Del., and Glassboro, N.J., before moving to Arizona earlier this year. Frank was a veteran of World War II who served with the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific. A member of Local 560 and Local 807, he was employed as a Teamster before retiring. In his spare time, he worked as a baseball umpire and a football referee. In retirement, he was a member of the Dover Stamp Club. He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth, in 2003. He is survived by his daughter, Kathleen; two sons, James and his wife, Eileen, and Thomas and his wife, Laura; five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Parkinson's Disease Association.
