Francis P. Lavigne, 66, of Blairstown, formerly of Elmwood Park, died Dec. 7. Born in New York City, he was employed for 37 years with the Sheet Metal Workers Union local 25 out of Carlstadt, retiring eight years ago. He served four years in the U.S. Air Force, was a devout catholic and member of St. Jude Roman Catholic Church of Blairstown. Also a member of SMW 25 Retiree Club and a life member of the VFW Post 5084 in Elmwood Park. Surviving are his wife, Linda Lavigne; three sons, Brian of Blairstown, Kevin and his wife, Colleen, of Pompton Lakes, and Brennan and his wife, Janina, of Hope; four grandchildren; a brother Phillip Lavigne and his wife, Bernice, of Teaneck; and a sister Judith Lavigne of Harrisonburg, Va. Memorial Mass was Dec. 10 in St. Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairstown Arrangements by Newbaker Funeral Home, Blairstown. Donations may be made to St. Anthony's Bread Line, New York City.
