KEARNEYFrancis James, of Paterson, died at his home on Thursday, January 17, 2008. Born in Paterson on March 26th 1926, Mr Kearney was appointed to the Paterson Police Department in October of 1957 and served as Patrolman for 28 years, retiring in 1985. He was a Veteran of WW II, serving as a Radarman with the US Navy. Mr Kearney is a member of the PBA Local #1, American Legion Post 360, VFW Post 316 and Elks Lodge 2111. Francis will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Elizabeth T. (Tritak) Kearney; his daughters, Francine and her husband Kevin Wood, and Kelly Kearney; grandchildren, Kevin Francis Wood and Hailey Ann Wood. Funeral Wednesday 8:30 AM from the Minchin Funeral Home, 17 Michigan Ave., Paterson and St. George RC Church at 9 AM. Interment: New Jersey Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ. Visiting: Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
