FALMOUTH - Francis Henry "Frank" Lessard, 90, a longtime Falmouth resident, died Sunday at JML Care Center, Falmouth, of complications of pneumonia. He was the husband of the late Virginia A. (Luther) Lessard. They were married for 40 years. Mr. Lessard spent most of his life in Brockton and in Allentown, Pa., while maintaining a home in Falmouth. He graduated from MIT in 1936 and was an engineer at the Stone and Webster architect firm in Boston during World War II. After the war he joined Bethlehem Steel Co., working as an engineer in the Boston office before becoming vice president at the Allentown headquarters. He retired to Falmouth in the early 1960s and was involved in many local activities. Survivors include a son, David L. Lessard of East Falmouth. A memorial service will be at noon Saturday at Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 584 West Falmouth Highway (Route 28A), West Falmouth. Burial is private. Memorial donations may be made to the Lessard Memorial Scholarship Fund, Tilton School, 30 School St., Tilton, NH 03276.
