->Francis C. Marino, 70, of Rockland, passed away Monday, July 28, 2014. The son of the late Thomas J. and Theodora (Mucci) Marino, Francis was born Oct. 10, 1943, in Quincy. Francis was a graduate of Quincy High School and Western New England College. Francis was a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel. He loved dogs, working with his hands, was an avid Boston sports fan, and was devoted to his family. Francis is survived by his children, Jackie A. Sansone of Whitman, Frank Marino of Braintree, and Natasha Eisenhart of Pa. He was the brother of Nicholas Marino of Quincy, Thomas Marino of Mich., Marie C. (Marino) McDonald of Rockland, Peter Marino of Weymouth, Edmund Lutes of Fla., John Lutes of Revere, and the late Ellen (Lutes) Mortimer and William Lutes. Francis is also survived by his 5 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours were held in the Sullivan Funeral Homes, 45 East Water Street, Rockland, Thursday, July 31, from 4-7 p.m. A funeral service was held in the funeral home Friday, Aug. 1, at 9 a.m. Donations may be made to a local charity of choice supporting the military.
