Francis A. Frank Derocher, 87, a lifelong resident of Brockton, died Oct. 25, 2010. A member of the U.S. Army during World War II, he served as a medic in the South Pacific. He was retired from Armstrong World Industries in Braintree. Frank was a lifelong communicant of St. Edward Church/St. Edith Stein Parish. An avid golfer in his earlier years, he was a member of the Stanley Bauman Photography Club and also enjoyed making wood crafts and feeding the birds. Frank was the beloved husband of 63 years of Aniela J. (Soroczka) Derocher; loving father of Paul Derocher and his wife Irene of Brockton; grandfather of Danielle M. Derocher and Laura M. Derocher, both of Vermont; and the brother of the late Phyllis Gallant and Richard Derocher.
