WILSON, FRANCES WILSON, FRANCES ELWYN JOYCE Howard, Pat Wilson, age 82, of Birmingham, AL, died August 13, 2012. She was a long-time, active member of Five Mile Presbyterian Church, lately serving as a trustee. An organizer of her local garden club, she enjoyed flower arranging and local flower show competition. She was an avid sports fan, especially enthusiastic about Auburn University varsity sports and Atlanta Braves baseball. She was employed for more than twenty years in the plumbing supply business. She was preceded in death by parents, William Floyd and Ethel Howard; children, Howard Leon Wilson and Martha Gail Wilson Allen; brothers, William Floyd Howard, Jr., and Hubert Allen Howard. Pat is survived by her husband, James Leon Wilson; her daughters, Deborah Pennington and her husband William Scott Pennington, Jr., Rebecca Wilson and her husband Gregory Allen Byrd; grandchildren, William Scott Pennington, III, and his wife Janna Pennington, James Gibson Pennington and his wife Katie Pennington, Thomas Wilson Pennington, Emily Allen, and Jesse Stuart Allen; her brothers Harold Howard, Bernie Howard, and Johnny Howard; and many beloved nieces and nephews. A private graveside service will be held Friday, August 13, 2012. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, August 18, at 11 AM, at Five Mile Presbyterian Church.
