Frances Rose Smith, 80, died Oct. 4, 2005, at home. She was born in Ossining, N.Y., and lived in the Stuart area for 20 years, coming from Mount Kisco, N.Y. Before retirement, she was a payroll clerk for New York Central Railroad for 40 years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stuart, the Columbiettes, Auxiliary of Martin Council 6241, Knights of Columbus and an active member in a number of other religious and charitable organizations within the church. Survivors include her husband, Gerald G. Smith. She was preceded in death by her brother, Leroy Camp; and sister, Margaret Neff. SERVICES: A memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date. Arrangements are by Martin Funeral Home & Crematory, Stuart.
