WALLINGFORD - Frances Montgomery Wilson passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at the age of 99, at Masonicare in Wallingford. The wife of the late Arthur Wilson, Frances was born in Branford, the daughter of the late Charles and Anna Stone Montgomery. She was a lifelong resident of Branford, and enjoyed the fellowship of both Trinity Episcopal Church and the First Baptist Church of Branford. She was a member of the Georgia Chapter No. 48 Order of the Eastern Star, and the Pythian Sisters. Three brothers and two sisters, predeceased Frances, William, Louis and Charles Montgomery, Jennie Rowley and Anna Twing; her nephews, Charles Rowley and his wife, Elaine, also predecease her. Surviving Frances are two nieces, Vivian Horvath of Wallingford and Linda Shadgett of Wexford, Pa.; she is also lovingly remembered by eight great-nieces and nephews, Patricia Tracy, Kathleen Brown, Diane Rowley, Eric Pavitt, David Pavitt, Lane Shadgett, Emily Shadgett and Reed Shadgett. All who knew Frances will remember her for her love of music and drawing and for her wonderful sense of humor. She was a friend to everyone who crossed her path in life. The family wishes to extend its gratitude to the staff and volunteers on Ramage Five at Masonicare who not only provided Frances with excellent care, but also treated her with great kindness and love. A funeral service will be held for Frances on Tuesday, March 25, at 11:30 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church in Branford. A burial service will follow in the Center Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Curtis-Sisk Brothers Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven.
