Frances (Way) Mitchell, age 81 of Eminence, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Jewish Hospital, Shelbyville. She was a member of the Eminence Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late John Thomas Way and Effie (Nelson) Way and preceded in death by her husband, Edward Mitchell and brother, Kenneth Way.She is survived by two daughters:  Janet Golden (Brian) and Debbie Hartford (Randy) all of Eminence; four grandchildren:  Mitchell and Jared Golden and KenEdy and KayLyn Hartford.Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2014 at the Eminence Baptist Church and officiated by Rev. Michael Duncan, pastor of Eminence Baptist Church. Interment was in Eminence Cemetery.Honorary pallbearers were Caregivers from Home Instead Senior Care.Active pallbearers were Carl Ruble, Jimmy Clark, Leon Creech, Danny Meadows, Doug Payton and Billy Bob Coomes.Memorial contributions may be given to Eminence Baptist Church.Visitation was held from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home, as well as 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2014 at the Eminence Baptist Church prior to the Funeral Service.
