JACKSON Frances Mary (nee White)Born in Teddington, England, July 6, 1928. Passed away at home in Vancouver, November 23, 2008. Frances left this world gently and peacefully, her daughter Sara, and constant four-legged companion Sophie by her side. A deeply caring and committed mother, she will be sadly missed and forever loved by daughters Sara and Karen, and grand-daughter Katharine. She felt blessed to be given enough time to visit her beloved sister and best friend Joyce in England last month. Frances is predeceased by her loving husband Roy in December 1988. Knowing that she would be by his side again was a comfort to her during her brave challenge with multiple myeloma. Predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Florence White, brother Douglas, and infant daughter Florence Norah. After retiring in 1988, Frances found great satisfaction in volunteer work, especially her many years at Vancouver International Airport as a Green Coat. She loved the airport's energy and looked forward to seeing her friends and meeting new people there. Frances had a passion for travel throughout her life. Her journey continues. In lieu of flowers, donations to the BC Cancer Agency would be greatly appreciated. We would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and care aides, and Vancouver Coastal Health Home Hospice Program (Pacific Spirit), who so kindly supported our family.
