ALBANY Frances Louise Miller, 77, passed away at home surrounded by her family on March 18, 2003. Frances was born in Rutherfordton, N.C. to the late Isaiah and Malisse (Hamilton) Mayes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Miller. In 1951, Frances relocated to Albany and at the time of her death, she was employed as a hostess at the VA Hospital. Frances was a lifelong member of the Macedonia Baptist Church. Survivors include daughter, Phoebe Mackey; four sons, Muhammed, Robert (Bobby), William (Ricky) of Albany, Ernest of Ridgewood, N.J.; brother, Thomas Mayes; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be Friday,March 21 at 7:00 p.m. at the Macedonia Baptist Church, 172 North Allen Street. Calling hours 5 to 7 p.m. Burial will be Tuesday, March 25 in North Carolina.
